UPDATE (3/13/20, 4:20pm):

In accordance with CPS, Polaris Charter Academy will be CLOSED  Tuesday, March 17th until Tuesday, April 14th.

Support is available to you.

  • If you need help locating medical care, please reach out to the CPS Office of Student Health and Wellness at or by calling the Healthy CPS Hotline 773-553-KIDS (5437).
  • If you or your child has a fever, cough, or difficulty breathing and did not have direct contact with a COVID-19 positive person, please contact your primary care provider.
  • If you are concerned that you or your child have had direct contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please contact the CDPH at or call 312-746-4835
  • The Greater Chicago Food Depository is prepared to respond to increased needs for food and their over 700 programs and partner agencies are still operating during this time.
  • Comcast is providing free internet for 60 days for low income families in the comcast serving area. And if families are already customers of their existing program for low income families, they are doubling the bandwidth to accommodate those who need to work from home or simply to insure access to the internet so families can stay up to date with news around COVID-19.

  • El Depósito de Alimentos de Greater Chicago está preparado para responder a las mayores necesidades de alimentos y sus más de 700 programas y agencias asociadas todavía están operando durante este tiempo.
  • Comcast ofrece Internet gratis durante 60 días para familias de bajos ingresos en el área de servicio de Comcast. Y si las familias ya son clientes de su programa existente para familias de bajos ingresos, están duplicando el ancho de banda para acomodar a aquellos que necesitan trabajar desde casa o simplemente para asegurar el acceso a Internet para que las familias puedan mantenerse al día con las noticias sobre COVID-19.
