A lottery is held in March each year for the upcoming year enrollment. The next lottery will be on March 16, 2016 for the 2016-2017 school year. During the 2016-17 school year, Polaris Charter Academy will serve fifty students per grade level, K-8.  If PCA receives more applications then there are open spaces within a given grade level, then the school will hold a lottery on March 16, 2016 to determine which applicants may enroll.

–      The lottery is open to the public and applicants are welcome to attend.

–      Students who have siblings already attending Polaris Charter Academy or who have been selected for enrollment through the lottery process are given preference in enrollment.

–      After all of the spaces have been filled in a grade level, the remaining applicants are placed on a waitlist.  The order of applicants on the waitlist is determined by lottery.  Applications that are received after March lottery date will be placed at the bottom of the waitlist in the order in which they are received.

–      After the lottery, applicants will be notified by phone of their application status.

–      Student enrollment is considered incomplete until all enrollment paperwork has been received.  If PCA does not receive an applicant’s enrollment documents or does not hear back from an applicant within a given time frame, then the applicant will loose their eligibility to enroll and their space will be offered to the next applicant on the waitlist.
