Polaris Charter Academy is funded through a per student allotment from Chicago Public Schools, as well as national and state funding. In recent years, charter school funding in Chicago has faced challenges, with allocations not keeping pace with rising educational costs and student needs. Polaris Charter Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, free public charter school. All donations are tax-deductible.
Donate your time and energy to a cause worthy of your support! Ranging from serving as an expert for learning expedition to a fieldwork chaperon or event support to reading buddies, volunteers help further our students’ education.
Each spring, Polaris hosts a benefit to support our Kindergarten–8th grade learning expeditions and education initiatives. Our Celebration of Learning benefit is our biggest fundraiser of the year and features an inspirational student program and installation highlighting the work of our students. Please join us in May as we celebrate Polaris and this work together.
In Kind Giving helps Polaris provide technology, practice instruments for our school band, and project materials for our students and classrooms. In addition to making a difference in the classroom, many of our children often need winter coats, scarves, mittens so they can keep warm as well as they travel to and from school.
