Five Points of Polaris

The Points of Polaris are a key component to Polaris’ commitment to educating the whole child. Integrity, Compassion, Exploration, Critical Thinking, and Active Citizenship are our core values. These points are an integral part of our learning community and the culture of the school. Members of our community are given opportunities to honor others as Light Leaders for exemplifying one or more of the Points of Polaris in special whole school celebrations.

Students self-examine their personal character development through their portfolios. They reflect on their growth within each Point of Polaris and share this reflection with parents and teacher each trimester. At Polaris’s weekly school assembly, students showcase examples of character. Light Leaders take an active role in educating fellow students about the Points of Polaris through skits and presentations.
