On May 11, our Polaris community gathered at Greenhouse Loft for our Celebration of Learning benefit. On behalf of all Polaris students and teachers, we thank everyone for being Crew and being a part of our annual fundraiser. Thanks to you and our incredibly caring and generous Polaris community–our donors, supporters, and sponsors–we raised more than $90,000 to support our mission and innovative education practice of educating students to be effective learners and ethical people who contribute to a better world. ENJOY OUR IMPACT PROGRAM FEATURING POLARIS ALUM SOLEY GEVORGIZ

Soley Gevorgiz (Class of 2019​) shared her Polaris journey and how the spirit of Crew and the values she learned at Polaris–the Points of Polaris–still impact and guide her life.​ “I found my light at Polaris. My 9 years at Polaris taught me there are no limits to my potential.” Soley just graduated from De La Salle Institute with honors, and she earned a full academic scholarship to the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she will major in neuroscience. TO BE INSPIRED WATCH HERE

ENJOY A SPECIAL PERFORMANCE BY OUR UNITING VOICES CHICAGO POLARIS CHOIR 

Led by Polaris EXPLORE MUSIC Teacher Mandolyn Barrymore, Polaris proudly partnered with Uniting Voices Chicago and UVC Conductor Alex Bravos for a Junior Choir Residency this year.  Our 3rd-5th grade students performed “Lift Every Voice and Sing” and “We Win,” uplifting our benefit with their joyful voices.
